Privacy policy

How we look after your information.

This website is operated by Legacie, the developer of The Gateway on Leeds Street, Liverpool. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site or get in touch, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it. Last updated 21st October 2026.

Who we are

Legacie Towers Liverpool Ltd is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 13891367 and our registered office is 80 & 82 Great George Street, Liverpool L1 5FF. You can write to us at that address, marked for the attention of the data protection lead,.

The information we collect

When you fill in an enquiry form, request the full film or the information pack, or book a call, we collect the details you give us: your name, telephone number and email address, the collection or residence you are interested in and any preferred time for a call. If you arrived from an advertisement or a link we sent you, the form also records the campaign reference in the page address so we know which message brought you here.

When you browse the site, our hosting provider records technical information in its server logs: your IP address, the pages you request, the time of each request and the type of browser and device you are using. We use this to keep the site secure and working properly. With your consent, the site also uses measurement and advertising services: Google Analytics and Google Ads (including YouTube), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and ActiveCampaign, and we may add similar services from other advertising platforms. Each one is listed on our cookies page, which explains what the site stores on your device, and optional analytics and advertising tags load only after you accept.

If you telephone the sales line or email us, we keep a record of the conversation and anything you tell us so that the sales team can pick up where you left off.

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To answer your enquiry, send you the film, the information pack, floor plans and prices, and arrange the call you asked for. This is necessary to take the steps you have requested before any contract, and it is in our legitimate interest to respond to people who ask about our homes.
  • To contact you about The Gateway afterwards, for example when availability or prices change for the residence you asked about. We rely on our legitimate interest in following up a genuine enquiry. You can ask us to stop at any time and we will.
  • To carry out identity and anti-money-laundering checks if you go on to reserve a home. This is required by law and we will tell you more at that stage.
  • To keep the website secure, detect misuse and keep accurate business records. This is in our legitimate interests and, for some records, a legal obligation.
  • To measure how the website is used and to show you The Gateway in advertising on Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and other websites and apps, and to send you more relevant emails based on the pages you have looked at. We do this only with your consent, given through the cookie banner, and you can withdraw it at any time through the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. Our cookies page lists each service and the cookies it sets.

We do not send marketing about other developments or from other companies unless you ask us to, and we do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

Your enquiry goes to the sales team appointed by the developer to sell The Gateway, who contact you on our behalf and record the conversation in our customer relationship management system. Our service providers also process information for us: the company that hosts this website, the customer relationship management software we use to manage enquiries, our email and telephone providers, and the booking system used for video calls. Each of them acts on our instructions under a written contract.

If you ask about letting your home through Legacie Management & Lettings or Legacie Serviced Apartments, which are part of the developer's group, we will pass your details to them with your agreement. Appointing them is optional and is never a condition of buying.

If you reserve a home we share the information needed to complete the purchase with our solicitors, your solicitors and, where relevant, the development's funder. We may also share information where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

With your consent, Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and ActiveCampaign receive information about your visit through cookies, as described on our cookies page. Google and Meta use information under their own privacy policies, including to measure and show advertising. ActiveCampaign is our email platform. With the relevant consent, an enquiry event may be sent to measure advertising. If enhanced conversions or server-side matching are enabled, pseudonymised contact identifiers may also be shared for matching. Hashing does not make these identifiers anonymous: platforms can match them with information they already hold. ActiveCampaign may use your email address to associate the visit with your contact record. Other advertising services will be listed before they are enabled.

Some of our service providers store information outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on the UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement so that your information has equivalent protection.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for two years from your last contact with us, so that we can follow up a genuine interest and answer questions about anything we told you. If you go on to reserve or buy a home, we keep the purchase records for seven years after completion to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are kept for ninety days. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep only the details needed to make sure we honour that request.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted where we no longer need it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive the information you gave us in a portable format. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time and we will stop unless we have a compelling reason to continue. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
